The installation and start-up of a second kiln marks a new milestone in Kelsen’s industrial development, reinforcing its ability to respond with reliability and flexibility to the global needs of the stainless-steel industry.
This new installation, complementing the kiln already in operation since 2022, increases production capacity by 25,000 tonnes per year and addresses a key objective: ensuring continuity of supply for customers. In high-demand industrial processes such as the production of fired dolomite bricks, maintenance shutdowns can last several weeks. With this second kiln, Kelsen adds a backup capacity that allows it to maintain supply even in such situations, preventing disruptions and strengthening supply security.
Beyond its role as operational support, this investment is part of a medium- and long-term growth strategy. The additional capacity will enable Kelsen to support increasing demand, particularly in the stainless-steel sector, with the goal of operating both kilns at full capacity in the future.
With this step, Kelsen consolidates its position as a strategic supplier to the steel industry, strengthening its value proposition based on reliability, industrial capacity and commitment to its customers worldwide.
